**Coinbase launches mobile app for bitcoin buying and selling**
Coinbase, the largest bitcoin exchange in the United States, has launched a mobile app that allows users to buy and sell bitcoin directly from their phones.
The app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices, was previously only available for users who had already signed up for the service on a desktop browser.
The new app allows users to link their bank accounts and start buying and selling bitcoin instantly.
Coinbase has also added support for older Android devices and a new customer bonus program that gives new users 100 bits (around 2 cents) when they sign up.
The company says that it is making a concerted effort to reach new users in emerging markets, where most people have access to the internet only via their phones.
