**Bybit Updates KYC Requirements, Users with Large Withdrawals Must Verify Identity**
Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange, has updated its know-your-customer (KYC) requirements. Starting from March 31, 2023, users who want to withdraw more than 2 BTC in a day will need to undergo facial recognition and share an identity document. Those who want to withdraw more than 50 BTC will also need to provide proof of address.
"We have had KYC procedures on certain selected group of customers since last year," a Bybit spokesperson said. "The new policy is to implement the procedures in a more systematic way, as part of our efforts to align our KYC procedures with the industry standard."
The move comes as regulators around the world are increasingly cracking down on cryptocurrency exchanges. In February, Bybit became the latest crypto platform to be targeted by Canadian securities regulators.
