Coinbase đã bổ nhiệm Faryar Shirzad làm giám đốc tuân thủ mới, công ty công bố hôm thứ ba.

**Coinbase appoints former Circle executive as chief compliance officer**
Coinbase has appointed Faryar Shirzad as its new chief compliance officer, the company announced Tuesday.
Shirzad, who previously worked for mobile payments platform Circle, will be responsible for maintaining a dialogue with global regulators and overseeing the company's compliance program.
He replaces Caitlin Barnett, who left Coinbase in March to join Chainalysis as director of Regulation & Compliance.
In a statement, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said that Shirzad's "deep experience in financial services and cryptocurrency" made him the ideal candidate for the role.
"Faryar has a proven track record of building and leading world-class compliance programs," Armstrong said. "He is a strong addition to our team and I am confident that he will help us continue to grow and scale responsibly."
Shirzad has more than 15 years of experience in compliance and financial investigations. He began his career as an assistant district attorney in the Cybercrime and Identity Theft Unit at the New York County District Attorney's Office.
He has also held roles at financial services company American Express, auditing firm KPMG and software company Pegasystems.
Shirzad holds a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and an undergraduate degree from Brown University.
