**XRP/USD Quanto Product to Go Live on Feb. 5, BitMEX to Delist Up and Down Contracts**
The cryptocurrency exchange and derivatives trading platform BitMEX announced that it will be delisting its existing Up and Down Contracts on Jan. 31, 2023. The move coincides with the launch of the XRP/USD Quanto Product, which is set to go live on Feb. 5, 2023.
A quanto product is a type of derivative that allows traders to hedge against the risk of currency fluctuations. In the case of the XRP/USD Quanto Product, traders will be able to trade the value of XRP against the U.S. dollar.
BitMEX said in a release that the contract details for the XRP/USD Quanto Product will be available on TestNet beginning Friday, with more information to follow.
"We are also working on new products and features which will be rolled out gradually in the upcoming quarters," BitMEX said.
