**Bithumb Raided by South Korean Authorities for Second Time**
**Seoul, South Korea -** South Korean authorities raided the offices of Bithumb Holdings, the parent company of Bithumb Korea, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the country, on Wednesday.
The raid was reportedly linked to a $25 million token sale hosted on Bithumb and a proposed acquisition by a Singapore platform, BTHMB, that never materialized. Some investors have reportedly lost millions and Bithumb's chairman, Lee Jung-Hoon, has been accused of fraud and illicitly sending funds overseas.
This is the second time that Bithumb has been raided by South Korean authorities. In 2017, the exchange was raided over allegations of tax evasion.
In a statement, Bithumb said that it is cooperating with the authorities and that "everything is going fine."
