Palmer also said that the fourth bitcoin halving date, scheduled for May 2024, is another potential positive catalyst for the cryptocurrency. The halving is when the reward for mining a new block is cut in half, which reduces the supply of new bitcoin and can lead to price increases.
“If history is any guide, then bitcoin could rally ahead of and after this much-anticipated halving,” the note said.
