**Binance Opens Jersey-Based Fiat-to-Crypto Exchange**
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has opened a fiat-to-crypto exchange in Jersey.
The new exchange, Binance Jersey, is a subsidiary of Binance.com and is regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC).
Binance Jersey offers a range of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and XRP, and allows users to deposit and withdraw fiat currencies such as British pounds and euros.
The exchange also offers a variety of trading features, including spot trading, margin trading, and futures trading.
Binance Jersey is "hiring and will continue to hire" staff for different functions, including compliance, said Wei Zhou, Binance's chief financial officer.
The exchange has been working with government-backed economic development agency Locate Jersey to set up its operations in the island.
Binance first partnered with Locate Jersey in June 2018. Changpeng Zhao, Binance's CEO, said at the time, "With its local economy based on a major currency (GBP), and its close proximity to the UK and western Europe, we are confident that the cooperation with Jersey will not only benefit the local economy, but also form a strong operational foundation for our expansion into the rest of Europe."
