Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched a new U.K.-based exchange that will target institutional investors.
The new exchange, Binance U.K., will be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the U.K.'s financial watchdog. Binance U.K.'s CEO is Teana Baker-Taylor, who previously worked as HSBC's global strategy head.
"Binance U.K. will offer a range of products and services to meet the needs of institutional investors," Baker-Taylor said in a statement. "We are excited to bring our world-class crypto trading platform to the U.K. and to work with regulators to ensure that we are meeting the highest standards."
Binance U.K. will offer spot trading, margin trading, and derivatives trading. The exchange will also offer a range of other services, such as custody and staking.
The new exchange is expected to launch sometime this summer.
