A new exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks companies with a “current or future economic interest in blockchain technology” launched on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday.
The Innovation Shares Blockchain Economy ETF (BCHAIN) is the first blockchain-themed ETF to list on the NYSE, and it follows the launch of two similar funds on Nasdaq earlier this month.
The ETF is designed to track the Innovation Shares Blockchain Economy Index, which is comprised of companies that are “developing, investing in, or utilizing blockchain technology.”
