The milestone comes just three weeks after MakerDAO became the first DeFi protocol to reach a total value of $1 billion.
Aave users have deposited a total of $1.02 billion worth of crypto assets into the protocol, which allows users to lend and borrow digital assets. The protocol currently supports 17 different cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Litecoin.
