11 lawsuits have been filed against 7 crypto companies, including Binance, Kucoin, Bibox, Bitmex, HDR Global Trading, Block.one, Quantstamp, Kaydex, Civic, Bprotocol, Status and TronFoundation.
The plaintiffs are accusing these companies of violating securities trading laws, alleging that they have sold unregistered securities and engaged in market manipulation.
The plaintiffs also claim that many of the token issuers took advantage of their information and only selectively disclosed information with crypto investors.
The process is expected to take some time, as many of the defendants will need to be served through the Hague Convention and the Covid-19 pandemic is likely to disrupt court operations.
